I’m a pretty happy baby and Mommy says I’m getting bigger every day. I recently started smiling a lot, which she really enjoys.

Sometimes us kids are not all that happy. Alice sometimes throws fits, but Daddy and Mommy are always saying that’s what a 2-year-old does.

I guess? The nice thing about having an older sister is that we already have lots of books and toys and Mommy and Daddy read to us and play with us a lot. I love my family.

Today after church we stopped by the park. We have done this for two Sundays in a row and it is super fun! I like the slide, swings and sand. Aunt Stacey was with us and she took pictures of me. I’m glad she did because now I have a picture of me in the new jacket that Aunt Jackee got for me.
She and Mommy both wish they came in big girl sizes so they could have one. After the park we went to a super fun noodle house that serves awesome Chinese dumplings. I was more interested in the noodles! I kept saying, “makin noon-als.” I’m not sure who had more fun; me eating them or Mommy, Daddy and Stacey watching me eat them. I’d go back there any time!

Today is a rainy day. It is one of the first rainy days of my almost two-month-old life. So, our family decided to relax at home this morning. My big sister Alice wanted to watch her favorite movie, Cinderella, so Daddy, Alice and I settled in on the couch to watch it. Alice is really loving toward me; she is always giving me hugs and kisses. Today she wanted to hold me on her lap, so Daddy helped her do that.

Later, we went out to a birthday party for one of Alice’s friends, Kalena. We went to a park; luckily it had stopped raining by then. I didn’t have too much fun at the park because I’m too little to play on anything. But when we got home, I got to do one of my favorite things – swing. I like to look at the little giraffe on the side of the swing best. I always get wide-eyed when I look at it! It is one of the more exciting things in life these days.

Mommy and Daddy had a super fun birthday party for my 2nd birthday! A lot of my friends came – Kiana, Maile, Kalena, Grace, Evan, Evrett and James. We had an awesome spread of food – all kid-food, goldfish, grapes, apples, cheese, carrots with ranch and little smoky sausages.

I loved eating carrots, but after I ate down to where my hand was, I would just give the rest to Aunt Stacey. We were supposed to go swimming, but it was cold and rainy and lightning outside, so we just stood around and ate and watched Finding Nemo on a screen and projector that Daddy set up for me.

I was glad that we had fun despite the weather. Here is a picture of Papa and me.

After a while it was time to open presents. Mommy helped me get some of the packages open.

Aunt Stacey helped me open the toys up too.

I got some really great toys and clothes. My friend Grace gave me some really neat bracelets too. After all the presents were open we ate cupcakes. They had really super-blue icing on them and little gummy clown fish. I got it all over my hands and face. It was a fun party!!!

Today we went to Grandma Sue’s house. I wore one of the crowns that I got with one of the 3 princess dolls that Gram bought me at Target. She said they were presents for my birthday week. I love to play with the little tea set at her house.

I’m always really careful with it and love to pretend that I’m serving coffee to everyone. To my amazement, I got another birthday week treat – a fun kitchen to play with at home. Grandma Sue showed me how to put a doll in the built-in highchair.

It also has a phone on it.

The last thing that Grandma gave me was a little set of pots and pans.

After I got home and took a nap, Mommy showed me how my new kitchen was set up in my playroom. I fed Connie in the highchair.

Danced around with my princess dolls and then fed her some lunch too.

One of the best things I have in my playroom is a whole wall of mirrors. What a fun playroom I have now!

Today I went to the store with Mommy and Aunt Stacey. I wore my new Nemo outfit that Aunt Jackee gave me yesterday. I also decided to wear the awesome pink cowboy boots Gram gave me last year – they finally fit! The best part of going to the store is that I get to have a pink cookie from the bakery when I’m there. Today, they didn’t have any pink cookies out, so Aunt Stacey asked and the lady in the bakery for one especially for me. Thanks Aunt Stacey.

Today, Mommy and I made a peach-berry cobbler for a BBQ at her friend Emilie’s house. The picture above is a demonstration of the important work I was doing with Mommy to help. My main job was taking care of the peach pits. Mommy would cut the peaches and peel them and then I’d wash the pits really well for her. I also tried the pits to see what they were like. I thought they were good enough to share, so I gave some to Mommy.

When Daddy and Aunt Stacey came home from lunch, we all ate and then I thought it would be a good idea for everyone to take their shoes off, so I could try them on. First I wore Mommy’s flip-flops.

Here I am with Daddy’s socks on (Mommy wasn’t fast enough with the camera to get the shoes picture).

Finally, I wanted to wear Stacey’s flip-flops. It was fun to try on everyone’s shoes.

By the way, the cobbler turned out really good!

This Sunday started out like any other. We woke up and ate breakfast and headed out for church. Mommy wanted to take some pictures of me, but I told her… well a picture is worth a thousand words: Just a minute?

I’m not ready for my picture to be taken? Or, talk to the hand? Anyway, she got the hint. We headed for the car (less than 10 feet away) and I needed to take a little break!

Then, on the way to church I thought it would be a great idea to put on some different pants. All I had with me were Connie’s jeans. Yes, I realize that Connie is my 15” doll, but spacial//size concepts are still a bit new for me. I gave it a try!

Then at church I tried out another size experiment. Apparently after you’re a certain size, the baby bouncy seats in the nursery are just too small and you end up basically laying on the floor instead of in the seat. It was worth a shot!

After church, Mommy and Daddy had to stay, so Aunt Stacey took me home. On our way we went to Gram’s house to see Uncle Buddy and Aunt Jackee. THEY ARE MOVING BACK TO DENVER! Aunt Jackee and Oreo are going to stay at Gram and Papa’s house until Chad moves back in a little while. I’m so excited. I got to play with Buddy and see Oreo for the first time since I was really little (and so was he - not any more).

Then we went to Home Depot with Buddy and I watched a movie while Stacey knitted. She’s so funny, she knits anywhere! What a FUN day!

Today is national knit in public day and Gram and Stacey spent time with some of their knitting friends doing just that.
I, on the other hand, went to the pool this morning with Mommy, her friend Joy, Joy’s baby James (who is only 7 weeks old and very tiny), and Karina. We had fun and I got to play with a bigger girl and a little girl in the little pool. It was nice because they had pool toys too, so there was lots of fun stuff to play with! After the pool we came back to the house for lunch and I took a nap while Mommy hung out with Joy and the baby. Soon we’re going to have a little baby like that in our house. That’s gonna be weird!
The most fun part of the day for me was when I got to go out to Grandma Sue’s house and have dinner at the Paradise Asian Cafe. I love eating rice and soy sauce almost more than anything else in the whole world.

While I waited for my food I got to draw on the place-mats. There are great pictures of animals on there and Daddy helped me by drawing more animals for me to color.

Stacey and her knitting friends were there too, but they had to sit at a different table than us, because there were too many people for one table. I had fun saying hi to Cyn Cyn, Michelle, Thomas and Aunt Stacey from my table. I love Saturdays, they’re so fun.

Today Mommy was home with me. We started the day by going by her office where I spent some time with Aunt Stacey, Suzy and Stephen. I also did some pretty serious coloring, That is my one of my favorite things to do lately. I will sometimes spend 30 minutes coloring in my coloring books at home. I sit and concentrate really hard while I color the smallest pebble or a characters eyes and nose. Even though I’m not totally inside the lines, Mommy thinks its pretty impressive.
Mommy would even admit, we stayed too long at the office. I was grumpy and hungry and was not wanting to do much of anything except for what I wanted (and not even I knew what that was). When I got home and got a drink and snack I was a little better, but I wasn’t totally fine until I got to watch a show. Mommy and I chilled and watched Nemo and then I got lunch and after my nap was a whole new girl.

After work Daddy got a ride home from Aunt Stacey and when they got there I was spending some quality time with my kitty cat, Cyrano. Stacey stayed with me while Mommy and Daddy went on a date. We ate dinner and had fun playing. Too bad Cyrano didn’t want to play with us too, but someday I know he’ll come around and love me as much as I love him. He is getting more and more friendly toward me all the time though, so I’m really encouraged!
