Amelia Arrives

img_0624.jpg

My little sister Amelia arrived yesterday. I haven’t seen her yet, but Daddy showed me some pictures before bedtime last night. I was so excited I couldn’t stop giggling. Mommy called me from the hospital to talk last night too. I had lots of questions for Mommy about Amelia, but mostly I wanted Mommy to know that even though we have a new baby in the house I still love Mommy too.

Liam and I are going to visit Mommy and Amelia at the hospital this morning. Hopefully I can give her lots of kisses and hugs. Daddy will take some pictures and put them here too.

Big News!

We’re having another baby! Mommy found out the first part of June that we’re going to have a new baby February 5th! We’re so excited. I “know” that it’s going to be a girl. Liam doesn’t know anything about it.

Nanny and Grandpa Tom’s

My sister Alice always wants to go outside to swim.

img_5071.JPG
Since we’ve been in Missouri, she has been swimming every day.

While she does that, I’ve been spending time inside hanging out.

I love staring at the bugs on my car seat.

Alice also loves to watch the dogs eat. She has had fun playing with Bob and Sugar.

She wanted them to stop eating so they could play, but I’m pretty sure that their just about as likely to stop eating in the middle of things as I am!

Big Sister Duties and Lovin’ Aunt Jackee (by Alice)

It’s been three days since Liam came home and I’ve been exhausted with all the big sister duties. I have been entertaining Liam and making sure he has what he needs to be happy.

img_4965.JPG

I do a pretty good job.

This afternoon Jackee came by and gave me a new Nemo outfit from Target. Of course, she had me try it on for her. She loves having me try on clothes. She says I’m the perfect niece! I think she may have something there.

Meet My New Brother (by Alice)

img_4912.JPG

Today I finally got to meet my little brother, Liam. When I came in, Liam was in his little bed, but I wanted to sit with Mommy, so Daddy brought Liam over to us so I could see him.

img_4925.JPG

Mommy let me touch his face and give him kisses with her help.

img_4922.JPG img_4923.JPG

I wanted to hold him and so Mommy helped me hold him too.

I love our little family and can’t wait until Liam gets to come home!

July 1st, Liam’s Birth Day is here!

img_3099.JPG

Yesterday, Nanny and Grandpa Tom drove out to my house from Missouri. They are here to hang out with me and to meet Liam. So this morning when I woke up, Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Stacey had already left for the hospital. Mommy was scheduled for an induction at 7:30 AM. They went to breakfast together at Village Inn. I’m not sure why they didn’t invite me?

img_3096.JPG img_3098.JPG

Mommy was glad to eat breakfast because she didn’t eat before I was born. When they got to the hospital and checked in, Mommy was working on her computer and Daddy captured the moment. I’ll update more later, hopefully with pictures of my new baby brother!

Sewing, Sewing, Sewing

Over the last few days, Daddy and Mommy have been busy, busy, busy sewing up Liam’s blanket. Here is how it looks so far.

img_4857.JPG

I’m excited about the backing that Mommy and Aunt Stacey picked out too. It is so cute, I love the sock monkeys! I have a sock monkey toy and I think that Liam will like it too.

No Baby Yet!

[qt:http://drewboone.com/blogbabies/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/liam-3d-ultrasound.mov 320 256]

Today is one week until Mommy’s due date and so far there is no baby yet. Mommy’s doctor said that she would be really surprised if Liam came this week. Mommy says that it feels like Liam is still doing back-flips in her tummy. Supposedly, babies don’t move around as much at the end, but Mommy says Liam still moves a lot. In the video you can see Liam kicking Mommy in the side on the right side of the screen - his feet are up and legs moving up and down.

Liam’s Blankie Sew-up

Today, Mommy and Daddy invited Gram and Stacey over to start sewing up Liam’s Blanket. It is going to be quite a project to sew up all 80 squares. Then, Nanny is going to crochet a border on it and then we’ll sew a backing on it. It is going to be so cute when it’s done. What a fun project it has been for everyone to work on. Here is a picture of Gram finishing the last square!

img_4850.JPG

I, of course, wanted to get in on the action, so I sat down with my needle and started to help.

img_4844.JPG

I was concentrating very hard on the squares. (I want Liam to love his blanket!) Aunt Stacey showed me how to sew the squares together.

img_4856.JPG

Then I was off on my own! I love to help.

I can’t wait for Liam to get here so I can give him the blanket.

My NEW Bed!

I finally got my new bed. Mommy and Daddy have been telling me that when Liam gets here that we are going to share a room. I could kind-of care less about that part of it, but I am excited that I got a NEW bed. My old bed is all ready for Liam with the cute elephant bedding that Mommy got from Aunt Stacey at Liam’s Baby shower.

Last weekend Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Stacey painted two of the walls in my room so that Liam would feel right at home in my space.

I had fun playing in my little pool on the patio with Grandma Sue and Grandpa while they finished up painting. It looks really good, and Grandma Sue took my curtains home to wash them for Mommy, so everything will look even better when they’re back up.

Once everything was back in the room, I crawled up on the side of Liam’s bed to check it out. I can barely see in it and have had fun showing people how the room looks now.
