Rainy Days at Home

8/26/06
Today is a rainy day. It is one of the first rainy days of my almost two-month-old life. So, our family decided to relax at home this morning. My big sister Alice wanted to watch her favorite movie, Cinderella, so Daddy, Alice and I settled in on the couch to watch it. Alice is really loving toward me; she is always giving me hugs and kisses. Today she wanted to hold me on her lap, so Daddy helped her do that.

Later, we went out to a birthday party for one of Alice’s friends, Kalena. We went to a park; luckily it had stopped raining by then. I didn’t have too much fun at the park because I’m too little to play on anything. But when we got home, I got to do one of my favorite things – swing. I like to look at the little giraffe on the side of the swing best. I always get wide-eyed when I look at it! It is one of the more exciting things in life these days.

First Day of School – First Day of School!

Just like Nemo says at the beginning of the movie, I was very excited about the first day of school at Cherry Hills Christian Preschool.

Mommy and Daddy walked me into the building with my Elmo backpack that Gram gave me for my birthday and my Princess lunch box that Nanny gave me. Those two ladies really know how to keep me in style.

When I got into my classroom I was only interested in painting. I almost forgot to say goodbye to Mommy and Daddy. It was a really good day at school.

I didn’t take a nap because it was such an exciting and new environment, but I was glad to see Mommy when she picked me up and was wired until I went to bed early!

Birthday Party

Mommy and Daddy had a super fun birthday party for my 2nd birthday! A lot of my friends came – Kiana, Maile, Kalena, Grace, Evan, Evrett and James. We had an awesome spread of food – all kid-food, goldfish, grapes, apples, cheese, carrots with ranch and little smoky sausages.

I loved eating carrots, but after I ate down to where my hand was, I would just give the rest to Aunt Stacey. We were supposed to go swimming, but it was cold and rainy and lightning outside, so we just stood around and ate and watched Finding Nemo on a screen and projector that Daddy set up for me.

I was glad that we had fun despite the weather. Here is a picture of Papa and me.

After a while it was time to open presents. Mommy helped me get some of the packages open.

Aunt Stacey helped me open the toys up too.

I got some really great toys and clothes. My friend Grace gave me some really neat bracelets too. After all the presents were open we ate cupcakes. They had really super-blue icing on them and little gummy clown fish. I got it all over my hands and face. It was a fun party!!!

Teacher, Teacher

Today we got to go to my new school and meet my teacher.  I was so excited before we got there and didn’t want to leave because I was having so much fun painting.  I can’t wait to go next week!

Happy Bir-dade to Alice

Today is my actual birthday and Aunt Stacey came by this morning to give me presents. She gave me a Little Mermaid Ariel and Beauty and the Beast Belle Polly-pocket-type dolls. I love them. Thanks so much Stacey. Then we went out to breakfast for pancakes. I wore a crown, because it’s so fun to be a princess.

My Birthday Week

8/15/06
Today we went to Grandma Sue’s house. I wore one of the crowns that I got with one of the 3 princess dolls that Gram bought me at Target. She said they were presents for my birthday week. I love to play with the little tea set at her house.

I’m always really careful with it and love to pretend that I’m serving coffee to everyone. To my amazement, I got another birthday week treat – a fun kitchen to play with at home. Grandma Sue showed me how to put a doll in the built-in highchair.

It also has a phone on it.

The last thing that Grandma gave me was a little set of pots and pans.

After I got home and took a nap, Mommy showed me how my new kitchen was set up in my playroom. I fed Connie in the highchair.

Danced around with my princess dolls and then fed her some lunch too.

One of the best things I have in my playroom is a whole wall of mirrors. What a fun playroom I have now!

Murray’s in Vail

My Gram’s family came into town and we had a little family reunion in Vail. Grandma Sue and Grandpa were there and so were Gram’s brother, his kids and my Mommy’s family. Grandma spent some time with Liam.

He really liked snuggling with her. I helped make dinner. I washed corn and grapes. I ate a few grapes too.

I also spent some time watching my favorite Pixar movies, Finding Nemo and Toy Story II (also know as “Likers” for Buzz Light Year).

I’m pretty relaxed in this picture watching my movies. It was a fun week in the mountains. I really liked playing with Mommy’s cousins’ wives, Ashley and Laura.
