HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!
Today is Daddy’s Birthday and he is 32 this year. That sounds really old to me since I’m like 30 years less than that! Today I spent the day at home having fun with Grandma Sue. She and I always get really worn out when we’re together. Daddy, unfortunately has class tonight so, he has to spend his birthday doing school work. We did go out to dinner at one of Daddy’s favorite places last night for dinner, Old Chicago. Gram gave him some clogs and he had to put them on his head, like a silly goose!

Of course, Mommy and I had to make some funny faces too, we won’t be left out of the action! Here I am making my cute face and Mommy is doing the same thing! (I wonder how she learned to do that?) On a side note, I had to post these pictures of me doing one of my favorite things - laying on my “mingo” pillow with my blankie. “I LOVE IT!”

Over the last few days, Daddy and Mommy have been busy, busy, busy sewing up Liam’s blanket. Here is how it looks so far.

I’m excited about the backing that Mommy and Aunt Stacey picked out too. It is so cute, I love the sock monkeys! I have a sock monkey toy and I think that Liam will like it too.

On Saturday Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Stacey, Aunt Jackee, Gram and PaPa went to a wedding for one of Mommy’s friends, Elena. Mommy knows Elena from The Sky’s The Limit, from a long time ago. Papa and Elena’s daddy started camp in 1986 together with some other pastors in Denver and the Anschutz Foundation.

Over the years Mommy’s family and Elena’s family have stayed close friends, so it was exciting when they got invited to the wedding. Mommy said that it was one of the most fun and beautiful weddings she had ever been too. There was a full mariachi band and the bridal party looked beautiful. One of the coolest things were the lights hanging on the ceiling.
I wish I could have been there, but I’m glad that Mommy and Daddy got to go share the day with Mommy’s friend.

Today is one week until Mommy’s due date and so far there is no baby yet. Mommy’s doctor said that she would be really surprised if Liam came this week. Mommy says that it feels like Liam is still doing back-flips in her tummy. Supposedly, babies don’t move around as much at the end, but Mommy says Liam still moves a lot. In the video you can see Liam kicking Mommy in the side on the right side of the screen - his feet are up and legs moving up and down.

Today, Mommy and Daddy invited Gram and Stacey over to start sewing up Liam’s Blanket. It is going to be quite a project to sew up all 80 squares. Then, Nanny is going to crochet a border on it and then we’ll sew a backing on it. It is going to be so cute when it’s done. What a fun project it has been for everyone to work on. Here is a picture of Gram finishing the last square!
I, of course, wanted to get in on the action, so I sat down with my needle and started to help.
I was concentrating very hard on the squares. (I want Liam to love his blanket!) Aunt Stacey showed me how to sew the squares together.
Then I was off on my own! I love to help.

I can’t wait for Liam to get here so I can give him the blanket.

Today is Father’s Day and I thought I’d spend this post telling my Daddy how much I love him. First of all, I loved him from the beginning!

He and I had a connection from the time I was first born! When I was really little, everyone always said I looked just like him. We still look alike and make a lot of the same faces.

I’m a Chief’s fan, just like Daddy and I like to sit in his lap and watch football games with him. I know it will be even more fun when Liam and I can both watch the games with Daddy!

I also love to watch the Simpsons, which I call the “Doh One.” Daddy loves the Simpsons too, so that’s another thing we both like to do together. (Daddy got a dancing Homer Simpson figure for Christmas a couple years ago, and he sings funny songs.) Today, even though I didn’t get a picture of it, Daddy wore his Simpsons t-shirt that says “World’s Greatest Dad.” I definitely have the world’s greatest Daddy!

Today, Mommy and I made a peach-berry cobbler for a BBQ at her friend Emilie’s house. The picture above is a demonstration of the important work I was doing with Mommy to help. My main job was taking care of the peach pits. Mommy would cut the peaches and peel them and then I’d wash the pits really well for her. I also tried the pits to see what they were like. I thought they were good enough to share, so I gave some to Mommy.

When Daddy and Aunt Stacey came home from lunch, we all ate and then I thought it would be a good idea for everyone to take their shoes off, so I could try them on. First I wore Mommy’s flip-flops.

Here I am with Daddy’s socks on (Mommy wasn’t fast enough with the camera to get the shoes picture).

Finally, I wanted to wear Stacey’s flip-flops. It was fun to try on everyone’s shoes.

By the way, the cobbler turned out really good!

Today we celebrated Aunt Stacey’s birthday a lot. First Daddy and I joined the rest at Mommy, Daddy and Stacey’s office for lunch at one of Stacey’s favorite restaurants, Chili’s. We ate lunch and then I decided that Mommy and Daddy and I should hold hands to commemorate the day.

After lunch, Mommy went back to work and Daddy and I went home so I could take a nap. Then, when Mommy got home from work, we went to Platte River Grill to meet Stacey, Gram, Genia, Jackee and a bunch of Stacey’s knitting friends for dinner. It was quite a party. We sat on the deck, outside and it was very hot, but there was live music, and I had a lot of fun and ate some yummy chicken fingers and fries with lots of ketchup!

Stacey got to open presents from her friends and show them around to everyone.

She got quite a few good presents. She has a lot of people who love her! Including me! Thanks for letting me come to your party.

Gram got me the greatest thing ever on Tuesday. We had to go on some errands and she got me a big giant bouncy ball. I have been having fun playing with it and Daddy bounces me on the ball. We have been having fun kicking and playing “catch” too.

This Sunday started out like any other. We woke up and ate breakfast and headed out for church. Mommy wanted to take some pictures of me, but I told her… well a picture is worth a thousand words: Just a minute?

I’m not ready for my picture to be taken? Or, talk to the hand? Anyway, she got the hint. We headed for the car (less than 10 feet away) and I needed to take a little break!

Then, on the way to church I thought it would be a great idea to put on some different pants. All I had with me were Connie’s jeans. Yes, I realize that Connie is my 15” doll, but spacial//size concepts are still a bit new for me. I gave it a try!

Then at church I tried out another size experiment. Apparently after you’re a certain size, the baby bouncy seats in the nursery are just too small and you end up basically laying on the floor instead of in the seat. It was worth a shot!

After church, Mommy and Daddy had to stay, so Aunt Stacey took me home. On our way we went to Gram’s house to see Uncle Buddy and Aunt Jackee. THEY ARE MOVING BACK TO DENVER! Aunt Jackee and Oreo are going to stay at Gram and Papa’s house until Chad moves back in a little while. I’m so excited. I got to play with Buddy and see Oreo for the first time since I was really little (and so was he - not any more).

Then we went to Home Depot with Buddy and I watched a movie while Stacey knitted. She’s so funny, she knits anywhere! What a FUN day!
