Sudoku Craze

So Daddy and Aunt Stacey are crazy about Sudoku. Daddy has a book with lots of puzzles in it. Sometimes I steal it out of the bathroom (not sure why he keeps puzzle books in there?!?!) and work a few of them myself. Oh, you don’t believe me, here are a couple pictures to prove it.

Bye Bye’s, Camera, Coloring and Sips

Every morning I’ve gotta give hugs and kisses and say, “Bye, Bye, See-ya later,” to Mommy and Daddy. Mostly I don’t mind when they leave because it means that I’m getting to hang out with Gram or Grandma Sue (Sue for short). Today I’m with Gram and she always lets me have lots of fun. Since she was taking pictures of me with the camera, I only thought it fair that I get to take pictures with my camera. Here I am working hard to try and wind this little thing on top that makes the button click when I press it. After camera time was over I wanted to color. Gram sat me in a big-girl chair so that I could color in my coloring book. As you can see, I’m getting to be such a big girl that I can almost get out of the chair by myself. I sometimes get stuck though and have to ask, “help”. When Mommy and Stacey were done with work we went by Jamba Juice, my favorite place ever lately. Mommy says she has really liked Jamba Juice lately too, I think Liam makes her crave it. I got my very own cup, which I call my “sip.” Mommy just orders a big kind and then they put part of it in a cup for me. After the sip, we went to String to visit Aunt Stacey’s yarn friend, Cassidy. She is really nice, and I love to run around her store and feel all the super soft yarn, or “wan” as I call it. I had a lot of fun with those ladies today!

“Pancakes at NIGHT!”

Today when Mommy got home from work, Stacey came with her mail to show us something someone had sent her and I got to play with the bubble wrap. I pushed as hard as I could on the bubbles with my finger, but didn’t have the strength to do it, so Mommy put it on the floor for me to walk on. That kind of freaked me out a bit! I’m not so sure about that loud popping noise coming from under my feet. Mommy rescued me though. She and I were laughing and hugging – I love a hug from Mommy. After that Mommy was craving pancakes. So, she and Stacey and I went to Village Inn for “Pancakes at NIGHT!” Mommy and Stacey said that was a funny phrase from a sketch on Saturday Night Live with Amy Pohler and that guy from Napoleon Dynamite. I love eating pancakes, cause it means I get lots of sticky sweet syrup. I call it “syrp-up.” As you can see, I was trying to make my “cute face” while stuffing the food in. After that, I was pretty much done with the pictures.

This is Mommy!

Alice, I miss you so much. When I called today and you were upset because you heard my voice but I wasn’t there in person it made me miss you even more. I know that you’re having fun with Nanny and Grandpa Tom and I’m having fun with Daddy, but I miss my special girl. Here’s what Mommy and Daddy have been up to here in Vegas. First of all, I’m not a big fan of Vegas and probably won’t come back, definitely not while pregnant. The smoke and alcohol and flushing money down the drain is just not for me. Our room at the Imperial Palace was not worth taking a picture of and was small, uncomfortable and a little scummy. Our room at the Mirage, however, was beautiful, comfy and first class. Thanks Uncle Bo! There is a marble tile entry way and to the left is a sitting area with TV and couch. To the right is the bed and another tv that comes up from a cabinet at the end of the bed. There are two bathrooms which is awesome too. On the second day we were here I got the following 2 desserts: Talk about huge, the picture doesn’t do it justice, but that chocolate covered macaroon is like 6 inches tall and it is sitting on a layer of chocolate mousse. There is a white tiger and dolphin sanctuary in our hotel. You would have loved to see the tigers, here is a picture of one. Isn’t he beautiful. I know if you had seen him you would have told me what a tiger says, “roar!” Today we went to the Las Vegas Hilton to see the Star Trek stuff. I know that you don’t know what Star Trek is, but it’s like Sesame Street is for you, but for Mommy and Uncle Buddy. Here is a picture of Mommy and Daddy in front of the exhibit. I know that you don’t know what they are, but here are some pictures of the exhibit and the large models of the different ships from Star Trek. Here are pictures from where Mommy and Daddy waited in line to buy our tickets, there is the Enterprise, Voyager and a Klingon Bird of Prey. Hey, you may grow up to be a fan, so I want to make sure you know your stuff! After we toured through the museum, where there was a detailed timeline and costumes/props from the show as well as an attraction that simulated a Borg attack, we ate lunch at Quarks Bar from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. We had fun and bought you a little shirt that says Star Fleet Academy on it. I can’t wait for you to wear it! The last pictures from the Star Trek exhibit were out at the entrance again. One is a life-size figure of a Klingon Warrior woman and the other is the Borg Queen. Both strong women, but probably not the kind of strong woman role models Mommy would like you to have. They’re a little on the rough side for me. After we left the Hilton we went to the Paris to walk around. It was beautiful inside. There were stained glass ceilings and fountains and fun little shops. Daddy and I stopped for dessert and you would have loved to have a “bite” of Mommy’s - it had strawberries in it. Tonight we went to see the show “Ka” and it was wonderful. I really enjoyed it and think that you might have liked it too. There was lots of music and fire and dancing. Well, it’s late little girl and Mommy has to get up early tomorrow so I can come home and give you lots of hugs and kisses. I can’t wait! Love, Mommy

The Big Trip

Today is the day that Mommy and Daddy are leaving for their big trip. I’m having a lot of fun with Nanny and Grandpa Tom, so I think I’ll be alright. Grandpa Tom lets me try on his hat. It looks pretty good on me. I have a sneaking suspicion that Mommy and Daddy will miss me a little more than I miss them. Nanny and Grandpa Tom are really fun!!!!

Nanny and Grandpa Tom are Coming TODAY!

Nanny and Grandpa Tom are coming out from Missouri to take care of me while Mommy and Daddy go out of town for a couple of days. I’m excited to see them. Mommy and Daddy have been showing me their picture in a book called “Who Loves Baby?” I’m wearing the stripey sweater that Nanny crocheted me for Christmas.

Morning Fun with Mommy and Daddy

Every morning when I wake up I love the time I get to spend with Mommy and Daddy. After I got dressed today we played and read books in my room for a while. Daddy read to me. I read to myself. I love my little Elmo book. I waved at Daddy and was concentrating very hard because I was using BOTH hands! I was also checking out the cat and dog on my shirt. I like it because Mommy got it for me. After we were done playing it was time for breakfast. I am such a big girl, I went down stairs all by myself.

Cyrano and Laundry

I love our cat, Cyrano. He usually just tolerates me, but sometimes he lets me get close and sometimes he lets me pet him. Here is what it usually looks like: I spot Cyrano… …I pursue him, I’m almost up to him… …He heads the opposite direction… …back down the stairs! I also like to help with the laundry. I’m not sure if this is the way to help, but it sure is fun!

Gram’s House

Gram just sent Mommy these pictures of when I went over to Gram’s house on January 26th. I had fun over there playing with Gram’s doll beds. See, they’re just my size. I brought Connie with me and she was taking a nap in the crib with me. Gram has a chair at her house that’s also just my size. I like to sit in it and read my books. Sometimes I get distracted by the giant TV that she has though.

Update on cute stuff I’m doing!

So, I’m teeming with cuteness these days, that’s at least according to Mommy and Daddy. I’m talking a lot and repeat the last word that people say. Here are some of my favorite words, “cake-up,” “hode-joo,” “are you?,” “aah-dis,” “cee-no,” “ooooh, no!,” “wass,” “wass-in,” “ah-pin,” “ho-dit,” “keen gup.” In case you were wondering what all those words mean: make-up, hold you, where are you, Alice, Cyrano, Oh no, wash, lotion, open, hold it, and clean up. I have a hard time knowing when to use you and me. I say “hold you” when I want you to hold me. I love to say my name and it is the current all purpose word for I want that, or I want to do that, or give that to me. I also have a lot of different words for food, one of my favorites is “sanich” for sandwich. I especially like PB&J, the best part is licking off the peanut butter and jelly. The bread is good, because Mommy made it homemade, all by herself, but I would rather lick off the PB&J. Here I am making my “cute” face, but it’s a little hard because I had my mouth full. The “cute” face is mostly just me squinting my eyes and smiling. I sometimes exclaim “oooooh, no,” when something spills or I drop something or something unexpected happens. I also love to drink out of Mommy’s water bottle in the morning when I wake up and go into Mommy and Daddy’s bedroom to snuggle and watch “Charlie and Lola.” The other day I was carrying the water bottle around with me and I accidentally spilled it on the ottoman in my bedroom. Mommy and Daddy were in their bedroom and heard me exclaim, “Oh, no.” When they came in I said “wipe,” and proceeded to pull about 10 wipes out of the box to “keen gup” (clean up) the mess. Mommy calls me her little helper. I try. I also love to play with my babies. Daddy made me a doll bed with Grandpa Tom at Christmas time and I put them to bed and change their clothes and give them lots of hugs and kisses. I have two dolls, Connie and Baby. I sometimes put Big Bird in the bed, but mostly just the babies. Gram and Grandma Sue both think its pretty precious when I wrap them in blankets and take care of them, but I’m just doing what any good mommy does. Speaking of Mommy and babies, my Mommy is going to have a baby and I know that he is in her tummy right now. I like to give her tummy kisses and say hi to the baby. She doesn’t like it when I lift up her shirt in public to see where the baby is in her belly, but I don’t understand why. I take every opportunity to show my belly to everyone. Another one of my favorite things to do, that Mommy and Daddy think is pretty cute, is dance. I love to sing and dance. The best place to do that is in the kitchen because I can see my reflection in the oven door and dishwasher door. I also like to color. I got a coloring book from Asher’s birthday party and like to sit in my highchair and color in the book and on the tray of my chair. Luckily, Mommy got the kind of crayons that are washable. I love to color by myself, but like to color with Mommy and Daddy even more! Well, I’ll sign off with one more story. I am a pretty affectionate girl and I love to give hugs and kisses. Mommy says I give really good hugs and kisses. So, signing off with a kiss, this has been a not, so short update on all the cutest things I’ve been doing lately.
