Moisturizer is important!

Mommy has always loved make-up. So much, that she became an Independent Consultant for Mary Kay 11 years ago. Anyway, living in Colorado she always tells me that its important that I put on lotion every day. Especially because I love taking baths and so I take one almost every day. I’m not one to discount the advise of a Mary Kay Lady! So, I was home with Daddy and he was feeding me mac and cheese for lunch. I thought about the times that Mommy gave me lotion for my face and thought, “Hey, mac and cheese makes my hands feel kind of like lotion.” So, I thought, “why not?” The resulting photos didn’t capture just how much fun I was having, or how much I was laughing, but you get the idea. All I have to say is, I am thorough!

Knitting 101

Aunt Stacey spent the evening with Mommy and I while Daddy was in class. We made dinner together and then when I was sick of cooking with Mommy, although I left my apron on, Aunt Stacey gave me a great tutorial on how to knit. As you can see, I am a very good student. I watched as she stuck the needle in the stitch, and threw the yarn around to do the knit stitch. I’m sure I could go out and knit a sweater now. We were also watching TV, which is another passion that Aunt Stacey and I share. Aunt Stacey is so great because she lets me hold on to the wound yarn while she knits and sometimes lets me pull the yarn out as she knits. Aunt Stacey loves me and I love her.

Mail and the TomKat Split!

My Aunt Stacey gets lots of mail from her blog friends. Her blog is about knitting and she does a lot of fun things where she knits stuff for other people and other people knit for her. Today she came over to my house to show me what she got in the mail. She got a beautiful pink lace scarf and some other really pretty yarn. I like to see how soft the yarn is by rubbing it on my face. Mommy and Stacey got some magazines over the weekend and I finally got a chance to read them. I was shocked, SHOCKED to find out that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are breaking up. (I actually don’t even know who those people are, but Mommy thought it was hilarious that I was “reading” the magazines.) Stacey and Mommy and Gram were all over for dinner time and my Nanny called too. So, I got to talk to almost all the ladies I love tonight!

A mile in her shoes

I have been spending a lot of time with Aunt Stacey this weekend, since Daddy had class and lots of homework. On Saturday Aunt Stacey came over to hang out with me and Mommy. We watched Finding Nemo and I got to play with shoes, one of my favorite things to do. I had a lot of fun with Aunt Stacey. Later that day, after my nap, Aunt Stacey and I had some more fun. I love Aunt Stacey so much!

Doctors and Baby Clothes

Sorry there’s no picture for the post today, but I have had a very eventful day! It started out normal. Daddy got me up, I watched an episode of “Charlie and Lola” with Mommy and Daddy, Daddy got me dressed and I ate banana and cereal while Mommy got dressed and ready. Then I went to see Dr. Murphy. She is very nice and I always impress her with my great vocabulary and friendly nature. I got a shot (not too fun) and didn’t even cry! After that, Daddy went to work and Mommy and I went over to her friend Katie’s house to look at baby clothes for my baby brother. Katie’s little boy Evrett went out with his Daddy so I got to play with all his toys while I was there. It was fine until he got home and I had to start sharing. It was nap time anyway, so I went home to get some rest. It was fun playing with all the clothes for the baby. Mommy says they’re too little for me, but I still tried to put a couple of them on anyway. Well, that about sums up the day. I’m going to meet my Aunt Stacey and her knitting friends for dinner at El Portal and eat beans and rice, my favorite! Maybe I’ll get a picture while I’m there? Ta-ta for now.

Mommy’s WAY into TV

One of Mommy and Daddy’s favorite TV shows is Lost. One of the characters, Charlie has these tape things around his fingers that spell out different words, most of the time they say “fate.” (Follow that link to the media and photo gallery section to see charlie and his fingers taped up and other great pictures from Lost.) So, today at the office I wanted to put tape on my fingers and Mommy wrote on the tape. She is so silly!

What is a brother anyway?

So, Mommy and Daddy went to the Doctor’s office on Monday for something called an ultrasound. I’m really not sure what that is, but I’m fairly certain that its not too fun, since they had to go to the Doctor to do it. Anyway, when they got home, they told me that I was going to have a little brother. Again, not sure on the details, but if that means a baby, then I’m excited. They also brought home these wierd pictures that hardly look like anything. The first one is supposedly of the baby’s face in profile. Whatever guys! I do love babies and am glad to get one if it is a boy or a girl. Mommy’s been telling me that there is a baby in her tummy, but now I’m a little confused on how there aren’t babies in everybody’s tummy. I lift my shirt up sometimes and say baby while pointing to my belly and that always gets a laugh. Well, I guess that’s all I have to say on that topic for now. It will be lots of fun to have a baby around to love and kiss just like I do with my dolls. I can’t wait until June 29th!

Trying things on for size

Whenever the coat closet door is open I grab for hats and gloves, whatever I can get my hands on. I then think it is incredibly fun to try them all on. Usually I need help with this, but definitely don’t want it. When Grandma Sue came over this week she brought her hat and gloves because it has been pretty windy and is pretty cold in the mornings. When Mommy got home from work I was doing my best impression of Grandma Sue with her hat and one glove on. It takes a lot of work to keep such a big glove on my hand, thus the tongue out of my mouth. When Daddy saw this picture of me, he thought I looked like Mushmouth from Fat Albert. I’m not sure who that is, but I was having fun.

Super Funday Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday started out fun and ended fun. We all woke up kind of late and watched Charlie and Lola in Mommy and Daddy’s room. Since I’ve been sick, Mommy didn’t want to go to church and get any of the other kids sick. So, after we got up and dressed we met Aunt Stacey and her friend Cynthia for Dim Sum. I got to try some yummy sticky rice and a fried shrimp and crab thing. (I guess I’m not allergic to shellfish.) Here I am with Daddy after we were finished eating. I was ready to go, but the rest of the group was still talking. Mmmm, am I really done eating? Because that looks pretty good! No, I guess I’ll have one more bite. I guess I’m never really done eating. I love to chipmunk food away in my cheeks! Later that day, after a failed attempt at a nap, it was time for the Super Bowl. I love to sit on Daddy’s lap and watch football. I especially love it when he gives me a whole box of wheat thins to eat. What Mommy didn’t capture with this picture, is me with both my arms all the way inside the box. What? I’m a hungry kid! I spent the afternoon on and off of Daddy’s lap and running around full energy! I think Daddy’s favorite part of the day was when I would throw my arms up in the air and say, “touch-down,” pretty much on command.

Lets get out of the house…

Since I haven’t been feeling good, I’ve been cooped up in the house a lot. Since it was Saturday and Daddy had some project he wanted to do in the basement, we went to Home Depot to get some supplies. Actually, he went to Home Depot and I went to the grocery store with Mommy. We had fun, because she let me ride in one of those carts that is shaped like a car. It was pink. Before we left I had to get all my stuff for the trip. I got my doll and my cell phone, then I was set to go. I also needed my hat, because Mommy said it was windy outside and since I was sick I needed it. Another turn of events with me is that I’ve been a lot more attached to Daddy lately than Mommy. I think its because Daddy picks me up a lot more these days than Mommy does. She said something about her back. Anyway, I just know Daddy will pick me up more often. I sure love my Daddy.
