What I’ve been up to…
Since I got home from my trip to Missouri I’ve been a very busy girl. I started off the week with my Grandma watching me on Monday she bought me some clothes at a used baby clothes store in Vail. One of my favorites is this yellow dress with Big Bird on the front. I didn’t really want my picture taken, but Mommy and Aunt Stacey insisted! I love my Big Bird doll too! The only problem with wearing dresses is that it’s pretty hard to crawl in them, but I’m more interested in trying to walk lately anyway. I’m not too sure on my feet all the time though. In fact, the other day I was with Daddy looking at myself in the mirror and I lost my footing and hit my cheek on the sink. I have quite the unsightly bruise on my cheek. I cried a little, but I’m pretty tough. I’m still pretty cute though. Daddy went out of town on Thursday night and Aunt Stacey hung out with Mommy and me all weekend. We had fun doing things together. Mommy and I took a really good nap on Saturday afternoon and then we went to a picnic. Here I am playing with some other kids at the picnic, eating grass and playing with these really great colored balls that the other kids were playing with. On Sunday, Aunt Stacey and Mommy and I went to IHOP after church and I was totally fascinated by the ceiling fan. I know the sign for fan and really like to do it. Everyone at the restaurant was talking to me - it was fun. Later that afternoon Mommy and Aunt Stacey worked on some sewing projects. They are making little fabric totes. Grandma Sue came over just in time to help them not mess up their projects. She knows a lot about sewing and making pretty things. Aunt Stacey stayed around for dinner. She made me dinner and then Mommy fed it to me. By that time Gram stopped by to give something to Grandma Sue, so all my babysitters were there. Stacey made my cereal just the way I like it. Monday was Daddy’s Birthday. Happy Birthday Daddy! He and Mommy went out to a movie and Aunt Stacey watched me again. I’m sure glad that Aunt Stacey is so fun, because I spend a lot of time with her. Tuesday is her day to watch me all day and she took me to the Library for the first time. We got there just in time for story hour. I crawled right up front and sat most of the time with my hands on the story teller’s knee. I turned around just in time for this picture. I’m not shy! Aunt Stacey said I’m the only baby my age that was so into the story. I just thought the story was very good. After the lady was done reading the book, we each got a chance to read our own books. Aunt Stacey got me this one with babies on it. I love to kiss the babies. I also loved looking around at the other kids. Thank you Aunt Stacey for taking me to the Library. Tonight we went to dinner really late with the Walkers, Mommy knows them from camp in St. Louis. It was fun, but I got home way past my bedtime. I’d better get to sleep!
